When you think about an eco-friendly wedding or more sustainable options, what comes to mind? Below are a few considerations that can help your wedding be a bit more environmentally friendly.  

Rent Your Wedding Dress or Choose Preloved 

The wedding dress adds to the fantasy of the day. As a bride, you might want huge puffy sleeves, intricate lace or even a ball gown. If you are considering sustainable ways for your wedding day, there are options to rent your wedding dress or even go with a pre-loved one. This can save costs and also offer a sustainable option, which reduces waste and can be more environmentally friendly.  

Sustainable Confetti 

Often, guests may throw confetti or even rice as a traditional way to celebrate the couple’s union. Petal confetti is biodegradable and also eco-friendly. It offers a way to increase the excitement of the event while also offering a more sustainable way to do so. Traditional confetti can often be non-biodegradable, so petal confetti could be a better option.  

Invitations  

For wedding invitations, you now have the option to send digital invitations. However, if your heart is set on sending put paper ones, consider recycled paper or even seed paper. This can be an eco-friendlier option, and you will be turning a used product into something useful. Guests can also still get the delight of receiving something in their hands that allows them to be part of your special day.

Edible wedding favours can be eco-friendly and a sustainable option. So instead of forgoing the favours entirely, you can offer a delicious option that they take with them. You can also consider what the favours are contained in whether it be a paper choice or even something reusable.
