AI, Technology and the Wedding Industry

When you consider the preparation of a wedding, you imagine the tradition of speeches handwritten, tailored suits and bespoke wedding dresses. The ideas will be timeless and long-established. Yet, AI and technology are making their mark on the industry and creating a new way of approaching wedding planning. Various tools have been developed to design the wedding of the couple’s dreams.

There are chatbots that can help you flesh out the plan, ask questions and help to build a timeline for the wedding day. Nupt.ai- can be used for this. The list vendors are “transparent about vendor pricing.” If you are interested in building the initial planning stages, there is also the help of The Knot and The Wedding Wire . Both are wedding planning sites which have a wealth of different articles addressing typical wedding issues and traditions. As well as this, they have lists of suppliers and venues. So, if you want to have a quick browse through the information at your leisure, the sites are there. Bridebook is a platform that “connects you to” wedding vendors, and you can use it to create guest lists and checklists for your wedding.

Then you have Prismm where you can see inside the venue virtually, modify floor plans and manage guest lists. Pixellu can be used by photographers to sort through the photographs using AI. “Smart Albums “generates albums in moments, which gives a massive helping hand to photographers. June-  works for event design. Simply enter a few words into the search, and it will show inspirational images with “shoppable products.” This tool allows you to create a colour palette for your wedding and shows you how your vision might appear in real life. There are also virtual try-ons for engagement rings, which give you a chance to see them on with tools from H Samuel and Brilliant Earth

There are plenty of tools online with the aim to aid couples in their wedding planning and organising. It is likely that many will use one tool and dip into a few more. Whether the tools are a threat to wedding planners is unclear. While it is ideal to see the wedding of your dreams fleshed out through the use of the tool, the human touch can undeniably add something special to the day. It seems that if you can think of any part of a wedding event, it is likely catered to by some form of technology.
